Sleeve Tattoo Ideas
The term “tattoo sleeve” refers to the area that spans from the wrist to the shoulder. There’s also half sleeves and quarter sleeves in tattooing.
- A half sleeve is from the elbow down, or from the top of the shoulder to the elbow.
- A quarter sleeve is from the middle of the arm below the shoulder, to the elbow. Or, starting from halfway up the forearm below the elbow, down to the wrist.
The great thing about getting a “tattoo sleeve” done, is that you don’t have to get it all done at once. Many people get one tattoo done at a time, and interconnect them until it’s a seamless, completed work of art. This allows the customer to pay for a single tattoo in each sitting, and not have to endure hours and hours of work at once.
Tattoo sessions can be stressful, especially for first timers. The pain of tattoo work is known to be EXCRUCIATING, especially if you’re sensitive. For this reason, tattoo shops come fully equipped with topical numbing agents to keep you pain free during the process.
And be sure to check with your tattoo shop about discounts for first time or repeat customers. The cost for a full sleeve tattoo can cost upwards of $2,500 an arm! Deposits and installment plans are helpful as payment options, so be sure to ask your tattooist.
